single signon with windows username and password

Hi!

I have set up Portal 5.1.0.1 with Active Directory LDAP succesfully.

Now I would like that users do not have to enter their password, but that Portal picks up their Windows logon information (which is from the same AD).

Is that possible with IHS or should I change everything to IIS and enable Windows username/password authentication there?

Hello,

I am really interested to your solution. I have a request to log the
user directly to our portal using the windows login information.
Do you have a working example with any web server?

Thanks,
Kma.

We implemented SSO between user desktop (windows) and our unix-based J2EE-environment using Tivoli Access Manager and so called "windows desktop SSO".

Thank you. I am aware of this solution, but I don't want the customer to pay for even more expenses (yet).

So does anyone know if enabling IIS with Windows authentication will solve this issue?

How ever, if you have windows i would just use IIS instead of IHS especially if it's only for internal use. I can undestand why you wouldn't want IIS in the edge of the internet.

Well, it is also used on the internet, but that wouldn't be a problem as I can keep the IHS in the DMZ and just install an internal IIS server.

Going to give it a try.

Hello,

Please can you help me on this case?
I knew that Ibm Maximo support single sign on (SSO). But I realized that although the security is enabled, we have to tape the loggin and password each time we want to connect to maximo application.

I want to know if there's a way to activate this SSO. what are the steps and prerequisites to do?
Thank you in advance.

Kind regards, Fouad
